U.S. Intelligence: Weapons of Mass Destabilization and Deception - Link Roundup
The history of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) is a long and bloody one. The CIA was formed in 1947 and continues to define U.S. foreign policy with the Pentagon as its subordinate and as the primary military wing. Colour revolutions, anti-Communism, drug cartels, destabilization, bloody coups, proxy forces, and regime-change -- this is the legacy of the CIA, in short. And just recently, the intelligence agency had just appointed an all-female leadership, which had several liberal media personalities such as the unabashed anti-Russia mouthpiece Rachel Maddow reacting very excitedly, declaring it a "feminist victory" -- which is expected since it is, after all, a victory for identity politics. Of course, this "social justice warrior" (sjw) -pandering is nothing new; in fact, the agency encourages a climate of Postmodernism and identity politics.
To help justify U.S. wars of imperial aggression, the CIA needed to make them palatable to consumers of mass media and to self-described "progressives" in the West so that there is little to no opposition. What better way to do that than to invest billions of dollars not only into proxy forces, but into various programs and aggressive propaganda campaigns in the mainstream media as well -- especially when U.S.-backed terrorist forces, paramilitaries, or right-wing opposition groups in targeted nations are portrayed as "freedom fighters" and "revolutionaries" and given the 'Red-Carpet treatment'? Also effective in controlling opposition to American Empire was its funding and deployment of student groups, academics, writers, and artists who were anti-Soviet. And with Western "progressives" completely immersed in identity politics (as well as hedonism and substance abuse) and cheering on U.S. aggressions against countries like Libya, Syria, and the Ukraine in recent memory -- acting as useful idiots for American Empire, in other words -- who needs the police, FBI or COINTELPRO these days? The CIA had already set out to neuter the Western left many years ago so that by the 1970's their strength started to die down; so much so that the police don't really need to lift a finger as much today since the 'left' is already doing the job of cannibalizing itself.
