Wahhabi Terror Apologists and American Empire Shills with Pink Pussyhats

Image
Minnesota's Democratic representative and Congresswoman  Ilhan Omar has been making headlines lately because of the seemingly "anti-establishment" remarks she made in Washington and has become popular among some Western 'progressives', including feminist circles. Her comments included: criticizing AIPAC, calling out the state of Israel for its treatment of Palestinians (and rightly so), and calling Barack Obama a "pretty face who got away with murder". That is, until she backtracked -- as she usually does, which shouldn't be surprising -- and proclaimed herself to be an " Obama fan ". More recently, however, she made the following Tweet : Some anti-imperialist critics say that she's a Muslim Brotherhood-controlled opposition or spokesperson, which would not be too farfetched. Here, she is perpetuating the lies used to justify the United States' dirty war on Syria; namely, that the foreign-shipped, head-chopping "mo...

Killing Yugoslavia: The 20th Anniversary of the 78-Day Illegal NATO Air Bombings

Image
March 24th, 2019 will mark the 20th anniversary of 78-day NATO air-bombing of Yugoslavia, with Serbia suffering the most catastrophic damage since it was the central target. As was already mentioned , Serbia was at the centre of one of the most vicious U.S. imperialist propaganda campaigns; to add insult to injury, it was re-victimized and humiliated in the ICC. There are also reasonable grounds to believe that former Yugoslavian President and Serbian-born Slobodan MiloÅ¡ević was murdered (via poisoning) in 2006. MiloÅ¡ević was unfairly indicted for alleged war crimes and was arrested on March 31st, 2001. He was put on trial in the Hague Tribunal in 2002 and spent four years in prison, until the day of his death on March 11th, 2006. One of his defense lawyers, Christopher Black, writes  [1]: "The death of Slobodan Milosevic was clearly the only way out of the dilemma the NATO powers had put themselves in by charging him before the Hague tribunal. The propaganda against him...

Medicine is Not a Luxury Trade

Image
"Let us take the profit, the private economic profit, out of medicine, and purify our profession of rapacious individualism... Let us say to the people not 'How much have you got?' but 'How best can we serve you?'"  — Norman Bethune Doctors, nurses, and other medical personnel thrive better in public universal health care systems because they are not strapped for time, and because they don't inherently want to operate by doing what's simplest for them, by taking shortcuts, and by constantly living in fear of facing lawsuits. Where are they pushed into operating in such a way that is anti-human and goes against ethics in medicine? In privatized health care systems, bastions of Neoliberalism, if ever, such as those seen in the United States. Profit-driven health care does not come with the right to privacy, dignity, and reasonable bodily autonomy, always lacking sufficient funding in providing a variety of options for patients. In public unive...

Venezuela - Link, Photo, and Video Roundup 1/23/2019

Image
Having successfully won the May 20, 2018 elections (and many election cycles prior) with the clearly popular vote, Nicolas Maduro was sworn into office on January 10, 2019. And yet, despite there being no evidence of rigging or electoral fraud -- especially when the ever-so cautious Bolivarian government always makes sure to invite a UN inspector to observe -- the U.S.-backed right-wing opposition continues to cry foul and react violently, resorting to acts terrorism against the Venezuelan population. This week, we see renewed calls for regime-change and a bloody coup from the United States and its allies. Even more outrageous: we see several Western political figures recognizing opposition leader Juan Guiado as the country's "interim president"! If the U.S. were to actually start militarily attacking Venezuela, their proxy forces will most likely be coming from Venezuela's long-time enemy, Colombia; and also Brazil, given that Bolsonaro is virulently anti-Venezuel...

U.S. Supreme Court Justices Voting in Favour of the Transgender Military Ban is a Good Thing

Image
Transgenders are officially banned from serving in the U.S. military. This is a good thing for the anti-imperialist cause because the less recruitment the U.S. military has, the better it is for the rest of the world, especially for the victims of imperialism. Having said that, the ban should also be extended to the following: women, black people, brown people, gays, disabled persons, heterosexuals, whites... or rather, everyone . Of course, not everyone is celebrating this small, tiny victory. Unsurprisingly, liberal 'social justice warrior' groups such as the organizers of the Women's March on Washington took to Twitter to vent about how " devastating " the news was: Nothing says peak identity politics or peak Brzezinski school of thought like placing more energy and value into the frivolousness of "equal representation". Obviously, that is to be expected from liberals. But, once again, the self-identified "radical" leftists in ...

U.S. Intelligence: Weapons of Mass Destabilization and Deception - Link Roundup

Image
The history of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) is a long and bloody one. The CIA was formed in 1947 and continues to define U.S. foreign policy with the Pentagon as its subordinate and as the primary military wing. Colour revolutions, anti-Communism, drug cartels, destabilization, bloody coups, proxy forces, and regime-change -- this is the legacy of the CIA, in short. And just recently, the intelligence agency had just appointed an all-female leadership , which had several liberal media personalities such as the unabashed anti-Russia mouthpiece Rachel Maddow reacting very excitedly, declaring it a "feminist victory" -- which is expected since it is, after all, a victory for identity politics . Of course, this "social justice warrior" (sjw) -pandering is nothing new; in fact, the agency encourages a climate of Postmodernism and identity politics. To help justify U.S. wars of imperial aggression, the CIA needed to make them palatable to consumers of mass me...
